Projects and investments Hemmant box plant
Australia's most advanced box factory makes 100% recycled boxes for Queensland's growers and producers
Up to 1 million boxes are made each day at Australia’s most advanced corrugated cardboard box factory in Hemmant, Queensland.
We’ve invested $175 million to build the most productive and technically advanced corrugated box making facility in the country. We’ve installed the latest 2.8m wide corrugator—the most modern corrugator in the southern hemisphere.
Instead of going to landfill or export, we recycle mixed paper and cardboard from Queensland businesses and households at our Gibson Island recycling facility and remanufacture it into 100% recycled paper. The Hemmant factory will use the 100% recycled paper to make corrugated boxes for the state’s farmers, and iconic food and beverage companies.
The facility employs over 100 Queenslanders.
