Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) has reached a landmark milestone, with more than 3 billion cans and bottles recycled since the scheme launched — returning over $300 million directly to Victorians in the process.

Through the scheme, eligible containers are being diverted from landfill and reprocessed into new products, supported by more than 600 convenient deposit points across the state.

Beyond the environmental impact, CDS Vic has become a reliable fundraising source for charities, community organnisations and sporting clubs across Victoria.

The Good Friday Appeal has collected more than $102,000 thanks to the generosity of Victorian donors, and locally, clubs like the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club have raised over $5,000 helping with the upkeep of the premises.

Visy is proud to be the North Zone operator for CDS Vic, operating over 230 refund points from Mildura to Melbourne CBD - making it easier than ever for Victorian's to get involved.
