Coopers Brewery will support growing beer sales with fewer truck journeys, thanks to a new partnership with Visy Logistics.
We have been selected as Coopers Brewery’s sole linehaul provider, managing more than 2,000 interstate freight movements annually from Adelaide to key markets including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
The partnership is anticipated to meet the same distribution network with 6% fewer truck movements each year, thanks to our long term investment in new technology and assets.
We have invested in 32 new assets, including prime movers and B-double combinations, and created 17 new roles across South Australia, including experienced linehaul drivers, administrative and supervisory positions.
The national linehaul partnership includes:
- modern trailer configurations that safeguard product quality in all weather conditions
- enhanced safety technologies, including roll stability systems, guardian seeing machines, and retractable trailer stairs
- improved payload capacity, with 36-pallet trailer configurations replacing the standard 34-pallet equivalent—a 6% increase in product on every trip that reduces the number of journeys required
- Euro 6 prime movers that reduce fuel use by 5% compared with previous-generation Euro 5 vehicles
- rail and coastal shipping services into Western Australia—cutting transport emissions with fewer trucks and reducing the number of kilometres travelled.

Wayne Boxshall, President – Visy Logistics Australia said:
"Visy Logistics is excited to partner with a great Australian business built on quality, family values, and generations of experience. By finding a way to meet Coopers’ Australia-wide distribution network with less truck movements, we have found a solution the takes trucks off the road, facilitates future growth and saves money for an iconic Australian brand.”
