Nayantha works as an Area Planner at our kraft paper mill in Tumut, New South Wales.
He first connected with Visy while working in Sri Lanka’s corrugated packaging industry in 2009—Visy was one of the global suppliers from whom he imported kraft paper liner. Visy made an impact on him.

In 2020, shortly after relocating to Australia, an opportunity arose to join us at our paper mill in Tumut.

As an Area Planner at the mill, Nayantha works to improve our planning systems and processes, often collaborating closely with the Asset Management Systems (IFS) team based in Sydney.
His primary focus is the mill’s annual major shut down (MSD), ensuring planning is user-friendly, efficient and dependable.
“Planning and pre-preparation helps us deliver MSD schedules on time and sets our teams up for successful execution.”
“The framework we’ve built over the years has made a noticeable impact, and I take pride in seeing continuous improvement in our MSD outcomes.”
Nayantha enjoys the variety and collaboration of his role.
