“No two days are the same,” says Momoko, Visy Recycling’s Business Integration Manager.

Momoko manages and delivers projects that drive strategic outcomes for Visy Recycling.  Her work involves both new projects and improving existing system applications.

“I might be on-site testing the latest software for our CDS Vic Reverse Vending Machines or the CDS Vic North app, gathering feedback from users, collaborating with vendors or our IT team to explore system capabilities, or refining business requirements.”

“Whether it’s identifying pain points, writing requirements, or assessing new enhancements, my focus is on improving efficiency and creating a seamless experience for all stakeholders.”

She joined Visy because she wanted to work for a company that is a leader in sustainability—one that promotes recycling, re-manufacturing and sustainable packaging.

“There’s always a challenge to be solved, and everyone has the opportunity to make a difference.  I’ve been involved in a wide range of projects and initiatives, and I’m always learning something new.”

She says working on Visy’s Network Operator role for Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme has been a highlight.

“I’ve been involved through the entire project lifecycle. From the initial workshops and requirements gathering to testing, implementation, and now, ongoing enhancements and support.  This has been the most rewarding project as it impacts our business but also people—including my family and friends—in the community.”

She says Visy is a collaborative environment where everyone brings their strength to the table.

“When things need to get done, the team pulls together and makes it happen.”

“There’s so much variety here, but the most important thing you can bring is a can-do attitude.  Visy offers a lot of opportunities, so it’s up to you to take them and make the most of your career.”
